Default A question about granular fertilizer with herbicide

The product, is a 50# bag of fertilizer ,with prodiamine herbicide.

The product contains a 15-0-0 mix,
with 38% prodiamine.
The 15, represents nitrogen at 15% of the 50# bag, this should equal 7.5# of
nitrogen.
The 38% should represent 19# of prodiamine.
Would someone please check my math, and, if I am wrong would someone please enlighten me.

Lawn care business tips

Just as a review :

All fertilizer labels have three bold numbers. The first number is the amount of nitrogen (N), the second number is the amount of phosphate (P2O5) and the third number is the amount of potash (K2O). These three numbers represent the primary nutrients (nitrogen(N) - phosphorus(P) - potassium(K)).

The thing you might want to check is if it's 38% of prodiamine or .38% of prodiamine.

There is a big difference. I am thinking it is .38%

Check the bag again to make sure.

your right, I goofed.I didn't see the point.
the bag is labeled .38% prodiamine.
This should represent a weight of .19 #.
If prodiamine is produced as a liquid, I
would like to know how many ounces are within
this bag.

A 50 lbs bag with .38% prodiamine should come out to 0.19 lbs. Or 3.04 oz.

A quick way to figure it in your head is:
If it were a 100 lbs bag then .38% would be .38 lbs.

Since it is a 50 lbs bag, it's half that.
