Have you seen this lawn care business concept?

What's your view on it?

Pricelawn.com is a business that was developed with the consumer in mind. With household budgets limited, the consumer can now submit a price for lawn service that fits within their means.

How It Works:
The process is easy the customer logs on to our corporate website, inputs all the information required and submits their maximum dollar amount. That information is then forwarded on to the franchisee for review. The franchisee reviews the information, determines if the price is within reason and advises corporate to accept or decline.

All inquiries and price submissions are conducted through Corporate. Franchisees can accept payment directly, but must follow the payment terms Corporate has outlined. If the franchisee is interested, Corporate can process all credit card payments for a $1.00 processing fee plus credit card fees. At the end of each week, for all credit card payments processed, a check from Corporate for all services rendered within a given market will be sent to the franchisee.

So How Does The Franchisee Service The Customer:
Its up to each franchisee to determine how they will manage the services that come thru within their area. Typically, there are 2 ways the franchisee can manage the lawn care - the franchisee can purchase their own lawn equipment to service the customers OR the franchisee can sub-contract the service required to other contractors within the area.
Franchising Costs:

* Regional Franchising - $25,000/year
* Statewide Franchising - $40,000/year

Next thing you know, they'll have TV commercials with Leonard Nimoy as the "Pricelawn Negotiator!"

LOL, okay, this makes me think back to a scene in Search For Spock. *Do you think this will work with customer estimates?

Scotty: *"Do you always multiply your repair estimates by a factor of four?"
Kirk: *"How else do you expect me to maintain my reputation as a miracle worker?"
Scotty: *"Your reputation is safe with me."

Do you think this has a chance or no? Can the premise work for lawn care the way it can for unsold extra hotel rooms?
