truck toolbox broke

The latch on my truck box broke. Now I cant open it. Any ideas?

Does it have two latches? The linkage connecting both latches on mine broke so it wouldn't open unless I pull both latches at the same time. Worth a try.

yeah one latch is free and the piece behind it fell off. SO the other one wont budge. I can reach the linkage but cant seem to get it to do anything.

there is hundreds of tool box designs ,and your picture doesnt show much detail ,anyways,does it have a plate riveted to the box at the latches ? if so drill out the rivets and get in that way .Does it just have a lock installed in a circuler hole ? drill the lock .Does it have a riveted hinge ,if so drill the rivets .If your box is plastic,sometimes you can remove the box from the truck,and flex the box by standing it on one corner and pushing down real hard .
