The sale fell through and it still looks like that! I wouldve loved to make it look new again. It couldve been a commercial.
The guy was going to buy it for 1.25 million. Thats a steal! I think he backed out when all the contractors submitted bids and he realized it was going to be twice that to fix it.

Lawn care business tips

That job would have landed you a TON of new business! Oh well...it would have been nice to see it.
Anyone want to pool some money together and buy it with me? We could call it "The Gopher Inn". Steve, I know you make millions, gopher it!

with its history it will be a easy to fill the rooms.
I think they would take $750,000 to get it off their hands. They been trying to sell it for 6 years and paying taxes on it.
The electrician that was there said it need 100s of thousands in electrical work and the plumbing needed to be redone.
I say we buy it and have lawncareman cut it for $10 a week. Then get weekend warrior to remodel it with his ryobi collection. If we decide to move it we can call Greg to tow it.

Thats the plan, Sect. I'm calling them today. But here is the catch, I was watching that show Barter Kings. Since I can't afford cash, I'm going to have to trade up. I have a used travel coffe mug from Bass Pro I'm going to start with. Wish me luck.
Let's get it done boys.
Lawncareman- I need you to take that Deere in to get the engine souped up. We need to make sure this placed is mowed FAST. Remember, quantity, not quality.
Weekendwarrior- I know you still read these threads, so listen up. Start stocking up on string for those kick *** ryobi's.
Greg- I have a tractor trailer coming down to you. You have to start it with a screwdriver, and just make sure you change license plates every few days. If the police ask, the truck never came with a VIN. Feel free to use it to transport your equipment if needed....

Perfect. I'm on the way up there to make the trade. If I don't hit traffic, there may still be some drops of coffee left in the mug.

There better be some coffee left or I'm keeping the swing.

Heres some info to fill you in:
Lawncareman's first thread:
http://www.gopherforum.com/showthread.php?t=17495
Famous quotes by Weekendwarrior:
"thats why the big boys pay the big bucks to insure the big gear.
only amateurs wouldn't have insurance to cover every possible haphazard that could come along." He cut on the weekends with his wife. No insurance.
In response to best way to advertise: "for best results, advertise on radio if you can afford it and your local public access channel."
In response to a question asking how to bid 4 acres: "what equipment do you have? i would bid by the hour. that sh!ts gonna be huge. 30 an hour. if you only have to mow, they should have no problem with it. get your riding mower (tractor, z, etc.) some tunes and get to work."
Famous Quote: "i am the internet genius"
More on advertising: "anything you can think of,no matter how crazy it sounds, do it. marketing gets pretty fun, even if you have to spend a few dollars. my most expensive marketing project is an audio cd i burn myself. i get cd's in bulk off of ebay and burn them off. the cd is information about our company (no beer jokes in it, lol) if anyone is interested in hearing it, pm me for details. its only 5 minutes long."
And by far, the classic Weekendwarrior started thread:
