To the OP....

Dude do you know what the major cause of divorce is? Money problems! You just bought an 18k car with someone that you are not even married to yet. All I am going to say is keep your day job as long as you can.

By the way that car is not 18k by the time you pay it off, it is closer to 30k if not more.

Those kinds of cars make me want to pick them up and push them a couple of times to get them wound up before I let them go down the road.

Do you realize that the Model A got 20 mpg and you are crowing about 30 mpg? After 100 years we still can not do much better than a Model A. Wait until you have to climb a long steep hill before you make a final decision. Nothing like having a V8 under the hood.

The price of cars these days makes me nauseous.

18 grand for a quarter of a car? LOL!

We're still driving the Cavalier Rally Sport that we bought new in 1997 for $12,000. I thought THAT was too much!
Twelve grand over fifteen years works out to be a pretty good value though.

As far as micro machines go, those are the best looking ones I've seen.
You'll be turning the heads of guys wearing skinny jeans everywhere you go!

18K now and 30K when its paid off???? If thats what your accountant tells you, you may want to part ways with him. Even at 4 years 10% interest paid is under 4K. As for a Model A, could you let us all know where we can find a new one? I'm sure inquiring minds would love to have a 100 year old car with 20 mpg. I bet you still think the Pontiac Fiero is a cool sports car.

Ahahaha, I wouldn't mind that!

We are getting married in less than a month, the car was 0 down 0% interest rate for 60 months. We had plenty of room in our budget for a new car, this is the first car payment Ive ever had, all my other vehicles were payed in cash up front.

The absolute only reason I bought it was because of the 0% financing, to good of a deal to pass up. How can you beat $350 a month for a brand new car, I know my sisters car payment was over $500 a month.

Lol, actually there is a lot of room in the back, it has a pretty decent sized truck space, then if you fold the seats down, you have a whole lot more space. Me my fiance and two of my friends went to the movies in it the other night, my friends sat in the back seat and they said it was actually pretty comfortable and there was enough leg room.

$350 a month for 5 years = 21,000. Its a cool little car. I never feel quite right driving those little cars. Im 6-3 though. Im sure its pretty fun to drive though. Probably handles really good. Honestly for new cars I like to lease. Unless you drive a ton of miles its a good deal. You have it for 3 years then get a new one. Id never do this with a work truck obviously but a personal vehicle it works great. I mean a lot of people keep a new car for like 3-4 years and trade it in, so theres not a huge difference. Anyway congrats on the new car.
