the zip ties will fail on you ,they cant handle the sun ,or cold weather,then become brittle and snap leaving you crying if a shovel ends up in somebodies windshield .Try a stainless hose clamp instead .

You could try what I did on my trailer. I used electrical conduet which kept the weight down and you can adjust the spacing between toe tubes to fit your needs. If you know an electrical contractor you can ask them for scrap pieces of pipe and the hangers are cheap. I do like the idea of the longer tubes for shovels. I'm going to mount a truck tool box to it next year so I can carry the hedge trimmers and chain saw in a locked box.

If you live near NEPA Frackville area I could weld you up a rack at cost, I just made a rake and shovel rack and it costs right at $12 to build I have a thread made up on here or draw something up and I'll see what I can do.. If you want one out of metal and not pvc.Ill do it at cost for the people on the site just in case cant weld or don't have a welder...

I'm already in "snow mode" for the up coming season so I'm concentrating on that for now and just going through the motions for lawn care right now. Just finished a cultured stone job and have another to do this week. It's nice to see there are still nice guys around that are willing to help out. Thank You

awesome! good cheap work! i was thinking of doing the EXACT thing on my similar trailer.

Dont paint the pvc. Just Use ABS pipe instead of PVC..... its black. alot of places dont carry it cause its a little more expensive. its my Waste pipe of choice being a Journeyman plumber . its also MUCH more break resistant and less brittle in the cold (off season anyway).
