thats a hard call to make. you could be stepping into a hornets nest, or it could work out really well. you plan to start a company and mow in the same area your boss has his company? then in the afternoon start mwoing for him? it sounds a bit sneaky, and if i were your boss and i found out, i'd fire you real quick. but i don't know the relationship you have with your boss either. on the other hand, it sounds like he may be happy where he's at, because he has a full time job and cuts on the side. so he may not even care because he can only take on so much business. in this case it may work out for you!! have you ever thought about being a partner with him? you want to do it full time, and he can't do it full time. he has all the equipment too! it sounds like he's established too! just a thought...

Lawn care business tips

im not planning on steping on his toes or anything. my plan was he can only handle so many lawns cause he just does this on the side so i was going to venture into towns that he doesnt mow in. And the reason he doesnt go to these other towns trying to pick up work is because he says he already has all the work he wants. So i dont think he would have a problem with it. Like i said before in an early post he is a family friend anyway so we do have a good relationship. But i would never do anything along the lines of trying to take work from him or take possible yards you could have in the towns he already mows in. And the partnering thing well thats a great idea, but im just wanting to try it for my self and on my own. I think it would help me learn alot more. It would also give me more responsibilities that im willing to take on and i just think it would help me mature alot more so to say in a way i guess. And im also on my way to getting a degree in business management, so i think it would benefit me there as well.

Hey there all i can say is network with your fellow friends and all. Have a social life and just run your buisness like you want. Only do it to where you feel comfortable and not over whelmed or you will get burned out..
