I have Sprint and have for many years. Any of you out there using Sprint and if so what has been a good phone for you? I use a smart phone due to e-mail from my customers. They are not lasting very long and cannot find a phone for construction such as lawn care.

Lawn care business tips
What are you asking?

Are you looking for a high-tech piece of technology that can take a beating? If so, good luck. There are a lot of "armor" cases on the market though.

Here's what I got recently and I LOVE it.
http://www.gopherforum.com/showthrea...hlight=samsung

I looked at a lot of "cases", but ended up getting a silicone cover and a leather case that totally covers it. The silicone makes it "grippy" and the case keeps it protected.
Most of the nice "snap on/off" cases cover 99% of the phone and protect it well, EXCEPT for the camera lens which out of necessity, must be left exposed. I get too much splatter from trimming to use something that would allow debris to get on the lens, so I opted for the old-school belt case.

What are you guys doing to your phones?? Strapping them behind your mower and dragging them? I wear shorts all the time and just stick it in one of my pockets, no problem. I guess if you mow in skinny jeans that may be a problem LOL. I mean the cases work in case it gets dropped but you can drop a phone anywhere. I guess I dont understand why your phone is not lasting? Do you tie it to the head of your trimmer while your trimming?? Hmm...

I cannot hear my phone ring or vibrate so when riding it is on my lap and can answer when I see it light up. I stopped doing this because the dust and grass that gets into the slide out and keys. It stays in my truck now and I check it ever so often. I do have a case around my phone and never had a problem about dropping it. My issue has been all the dirt.

Thanks

Like I said, I use a case that covers my phone completely.

It may not be trendy and I can't "show off" my techy phone, but it stays clean and protected. I rarely hear my phone, but when it's on my side the vibration is hard to miss.

Guy i work with has this phone, hes always throwing it in water lol.

I have an iphone, and I have a otterbox defender case on it. It has a hard plastic case that covers the phone with a clear plastic screen protector. It then has a rubber piece that covers the outside of the plastic case. I have dropped my phone many times, I have had it over a year now and not a single scratch on that baby.

My old phone took a beating, so when I got my new one, I keep it in the truck. This way I can focus on the job at hand, not the vibrating pocket. I think it cuts time too, because if I miss a call, I call back on my way to the next job. And I NEVER have to worry about dirt or crap getting in there and destroying it.
