Default Full of weeds

At my grandmas house she has shrubbery that grows down over a couple banks. The shrubbery has become infested by weeds and she wants them gone. Is there any way I could spray them with something to get rid of them without killing the shrub, the last thing I want to do is pull them all.

you could try weed n feed. It will fertilize the grass to compete with the weeds and kill some of them.

Would weed and feed work on the shrubbery?

THeres no grass? If its a ground cover it might work but if its just dirt around the base probably not.

I figured it out, it took a little research, my gram just called shrubs lol. It is a ground covering, creeping juniperus to be exact. There is weeds growing up all through it, and some nasty viney stuff that is a bitch to pull out. I'm thinking of doing some weed and feed and see the results.

For those jobs I tell my people to hire a young kid to pull them because they surely won't want to pay me an hourly rate to do it.

Hey. YOU'RE a "young kid", right?

Start pulling!

Honestly your going to have to pull them out. It sucks but really the only way to get them all.

I bought some seed and feed and spread on it and watered it well, I'll see what it does, it will keep her happy while I tell her it needs time to take effect. Then winter will come and they will die, and maybe next year I can keep them from coming back.

Weed and feed will help but I dont think it will get rid of all of them. Plus you have to generally re apply that stuff.

Yeah, it said every 3 months, if I can get a head start on it next year I think I can keep it under control.
