Default Storms two weeks ago still doing cleanups

Been meaning to post these pictures up but been busy. Our area in south jersey was hit hard by a really rare storm. It was called a drecho or something but we had no power for almost two weeks no cable for longer. No power sucked dick in this heat wave but besides the trees still down all over everything is much better than it was. Anyone else on the east coast dealing with this mess? I heard it went all the way down to Maryland and West Virginia. Some of the pics are from yard cleanups I did and other just some random houses.

Lawn care business tips
^^Yes found that one out the hard way haha. Luckily the only thing that happened was my saw got pinch and with the help of another saw and a log as a jack it came out.

WoW! That one tree looks like you could just stand it right back up and it would be fine!

Have you done any marketing for these post storm cleanup jobs or have people just been seeing you outside doing them?

thanks worksfromhome your right they are very dangerous its easy to get complacent after ripping through trees the last couple of weeks. You definitely gave me a little reminder as to what can happen.

Steve the first week I just did my customers since it was hard for anyone to communicate with no power or anything. I was actually posting on craigslist from my cellphone the morning after it happened and was surprised when nobody was even calling. But then i realized 3 million people on the east coast had no power or internet haha. But now people see me and I have been posting storm clean-ups on craigslist.

I have actually had a lot of success with craigslist. I make ads using a mix of photoshop and microsoft publisher and post the picture as a link to my website. I think this helps a lot because it looks much more interesting than the other ads on craigslist there are colors and pictures as opposed to plain text. Another thing it does to is put the little "img" in orange next to your posting which makes it stand out also. These are just little things but i think they help.

WOW! How long did it take to do some of these cleanups? Do you have any suggestions on bidding them? DO you bid them differently if they are regular tree removal calls when there is no storm involved versus storm cleanups?
