He called me last night and gave me a customer to contact for some work. I'm going to there house tomorrow for a bid. I was suprised. I have talked to alot of agents and usually don't here back from them.
He said to let him know when i want to meet with him so he can help me make up some literature. He can probably give me some great ideas on a referral program since hes been so sucessful with his.

No fee. Just expects the same. I run into people about twice an month that are selling there houses so I will refer him.

He had a very good presentation for his service package and referral program. A notebook full of colorful, lamenaited pages that he has spent some time on. Not just something he threw together. Unfortunately I can't explain it very well because he showed me briefly on the side of the road.
I plan on taking up his offer on the help.

I think that is really sweet.

Here is a thought on this. One of my friends in the past had hooked up with a garden center and gave the store employees 10% cash when they referred a customer to him to do a job with material that was purchased at the garden center. Because of this, he had consistent business referrals all year round. He was always doing so much better than any other business around him. So the lesson he told me from that experience was cash referrals can make a huge difference in your bottom line.

You could experiment with this and if it works for one realtor, you could experiment and try to replicate it with others too.

Any thoughts on this?

He reffered me to one of his customers. I went out and gave them a bid and got a $650 job this weekend!

Jason and I are starting a referral program... we're giving our customers (and anyone else, for that matter) $5 for every customer they send to us that uses our services. OR They can have an "account" with us so that when they get a certain amount in referrals, they get free service.

I'm going to be posting it on MySpace tonight. We're going to be using this for a couple of the real estate people we've been in contact with... Jason talked to one of the guys yesterday and he LOVED the idea...

I'm going to put one together soon to. I have a lot of things I want to do but I'm still real busy (fortunately).
Patrick - I would consider more than 5. At least 10 maybe. Give people a good reason to remember to tell others about you.
Dont give them the bonus until the new customer signs a contract or the work is completed.

I was wondering if $5 was enough... I may do $10, but for now, we'll see what kind of spirit $5 raises...

...and NOOOOOOOOOO... I will not pay anyone until I've been paid from their referral. *It's safe for everyone like that. *=)

Here's what I posted on MySpace:

Subject: *Send us new customers, get paid for it!!

Green & Clean is instilling a new referral program for EVERYONE... NOT just our customers! If you refer someone to us and they use our services, we'll send you $5!! ...or you can use that money as credit on your next bill from us!

Anyone can participate, but the person coming to us for service MUST tell us that you sent them. They must provide us with your name and phone number for verification purposes.

Simple enough, right? So go on... get out there and make yourself some money!!
