I think i'm going to look for a bigger truck for next year, if this year goes well.

How do you all do your fall cleanups? I have a lawn sweeper, and was thinking of getting the mulch attachment for my lawn mower.

Then just drive over the leaves and mulch them and sweep them up. When the sweeper is full take it over and dump it on a tarp on the ground. When im done with the job, fold the tarp up and tie it, and throw it in the bed of my truck.

So you guys have seen my trailer set up, heres a question. I bought some tiedowns, i'm going to mount them at the wheels of my zero turn and then use a ratchet strap over the wheel to hold it down. To prevent from having to drill holes and then end up moving it later on I need an opinion.

If I ever get a bagger, which I probably will, I don't think it will fit on my trailer with my current set up. So what I was thinking I would probably have to move the zero turn to the front of the trailer and then the push mower in the back.

So Should I leave it the way it is now and put the tie downs on, or should I reconfigure it just in case I will have a bagger some day?

Opinions?

why don't u try putting the toro all the way to the front and tight the red strap under need in the cross then tight it to the trailer the honda behind the toro put a bungee and tight to the side i rented a trailer an that's what i did phenomenal men

I need to do something to keep it from bouncing. When I hit a nasty bump I can see my mower lifting off the deck, that can't be good for it. Its possible though that if I move it to the front to where its not sitting over the axle, it might not bounce as much.

yeah that's what i did under need, the front there is like a T where the decking attach or something very strong part, i just thigh up there that whats it no more bouncing

I don't have a problem with the front bouncing, and I think just tying it off there, the back would still be able to bounce, I don't know though.

Odd. My trailer doesn't bounce much at all now that I have a 600 lb walk behind on it. When I was just hauling a push mower, I swear the tires left the ground when I hit a bump.

I put it all the way forward. The most important thing is securing it. With the front against the front of the trailer, forward/rearward movement is prevented by strapping the front down.
In order to prevent side to side movement, I attached a board to the floor which I place the right tire against when loading. I then use a strap that goes from the handle down to an eye bolt just off the floor. This provides a downward force as well as pulling it tight against the board the tire is resting against. The mower can't be pulled past the board and it can't move the other way either.

I know this likely has no bearing on how you set yours up, but thought I'd throw it out in case it may help you come up with an idea you hadn't considered before.





I didn't have the straps on in these pics - I was in the process of planning the trailer. I later added a piece of 2x4 that the front wheel of the push mower rests against too. I just push it on until it hist the "stop", then strap it down across the front of the deck.

Its a good idea, but I could solve all of those problems with my solution. I am going to start parking my mower the whole way forwards on my trailer, that should help with the bouncing issue. If I use the mounts on the trailer and run straps on both the wheels it will keep it from moving forward, backwards side to side and up and down, well in theory it should, the hardest part is getting it line up when loading up lol.

Also, why on earth would you go with a curved shaft trimmer! Man those things kill my back!

Huh? who, me?

That's not a curved shaft. (Stihl FS90R)




That's also not where I keep it. I was considering making a mount for it there, but I decided to just keep it in the truck instead.
