Hello all Hope I am in the right forum was looking for some input on taking care of a chain of Mcdonalds. Was wondering if anyone has done work for them and how you handled the biding. This would be my first time to deal with a franchise so any info would be great thx for you time for reading hope to hear from everyone soon.

They are a franchise. I think that means they are all owned by different people. They go about that kind of thing on an individual bases. How were you able to get a bunch of them.

It's common for a single person to open up several McDonalds within the area, and they will often want you to take care of all of them for the sake of simplicity on their part.

You can try and talk to a McDonalds manager about getting in contact with the owner, or contact their head office instead if you can't reach anyone.

Can you find out who is in charge of the property care and then contact that person? From there you can find out when they want bids in.

Tball I can tell you I know where I am from there is a guy that cuts Mcdonalds and gets $85 a cut and they require it to be push mowed. I think he has about 15 of them in this one area. All ran by one firm. From experience with my accounts I have now including Dollar General and Blockbusters it tends to be one flat rate across the board when dealing with some corporate type companies. Mcdonalds may be different tho

I'm trying to get into the commercial chain as well, from what I have learned so far is you have to bid them at certain times of the year, usually during the winter months, it varys so talk with the managers/owners to find out when to bid...Don't lowball it though or you could lose your butt once your locked into a contract with them...These can be a great money maker though...My nephew owns a lawncare business in Missouri and has several walmart store under contract for snow removal, he gets paid whether it snows or not...

I have 5 locations here in my area. Seems I could only get 200.00 monthly per location. I will tell you this...First guy that underbids me by 50.00 per location can have em! I seem to make little money off this contract???
Can you wait the 60 days to get paid without going broke? If so give it a shot. I had to go to bid with 5 or 6 other companys to get the job. I called in to the general manager once a week to "check in" I also ate lunch at the main store daily for two weeks YUCK! but I was seen Insurance is how to land the contract I beat out the other boys with a 2,000,000 liability. Best move ive ever made.

Thanks for all the great info I have an inside source to get them just looking at how to bid them like should I keep annuals and mulch extra or try to include in bid. Plus snowplowing would be included and we don't get much here but it can give you a surprise now and then
