Alright. I know you folks cruise other sites and join in the discussions etc. Well I lurked for a little while reading about others experiences over at plowsite. But I just had an issue with my plow when I went to go get it from my other property after it's summer siesta. I have gained a few accounts and I wanted to get it closer to me and make sure that there were not going to be any issues. Well it wouldn't raise or angle at all. Anyway, I considered a new plow and truck etc. as I only have a F150 and a used (quite a bit I might add) Snoway plow and wanted to use this as an excuse to upgrade all around. But I discovered I don't have any money! Kinda funny. Most people would already known this ahead of time. Well I went in search of answers etc. to fix this plow. I found the parts manual etc. on Snoway.com. But in my searching I also found an online parts pricing guide. It was meant to be for dealers as it had their cost as well. Well I certainly didn't care about that, I actually understand the rules commerce and if it weren't listed on the guide, it wouldn't be worth more or less to me. But I must say, I wasn't doing anything malicious as this was on a public domain site. I'm no hacker, anybody could have found it. But I found this information to be of huge value. I now had the ability to look at parts, part numbers & now even prices! I don't have to call or stop in at the dealers shop standing around trying to explain the part or holding my chest after finding out how much it's going to cost, as Snoway parts are stupid expensive (I paid over $300 for new lights last year because I couldn't adjust the others due to the amount of rust on the bolts and nuts and I didn't want to buy after market and put holes in my dash for switches). But how awesome is that? No lines, no waiting. I could know whether or not I could afford a part or several parts right away. Well this is great info to me anyway! See it didn't deter me from ordering from the same people I always have... instead it will make my experience with them much more pleasurable! All I have to do is call and give credit card info. I bet they could drop ship too! This has high value to me, I'm a busy guy and I hate lines and waiting. So if I valued this information this much, surely somebody else would appreciate it. Well I signed up as a forum member to share this wonderful little nugget so I linked to it in my post. I figured somebody - someday would have issue with this but in less than 24 hours? Ha! Removed. So I questioned it but I also mentioned the 60% markup in my reply. I challenged this one to be removed too it since I mentioned the markup. It's just all so absurd. Well guess what? Removed. I suggested they were embarrassed at the huge markup. Snoway is a sponsor there and monitor the posts! But I thought - certainly everybody understands that when they buy groceries, they are going to pay more than the grocer paid for it... right? Everybody understands that? So what's the big deal? I know all the other manufacturers are getting similar markups too. So then why the big secret? Embarrassment? You bet. All the reason why I will NOT buy another Snoway. Kiss it Snoway. Anyway. But I am so angry with the censorship, and the fact that the Snoway rep there is a crying winy little b*tch, I am offering this information to anyone that is interested in it.
