Grrrr high balled a bid because i didnt want the job and the customer takes it ...

So i get a call from a guy today looking for a yard clean up ...the yard was dug up so theres little hills everywhere and some is gravel ..its was mostly over grown weeds and some grass , the area is 1880 sq ft i quoted 6.5 hrs for 2 workers , i am 90% sure i could get it done in 3 tops my bid was high and the guy says yea that he will pay cash up front ..... what gives ??? the jobs i dont want i get and the jobs i want i dont get ???

LOL its one of them summers this is my 4th clean up this month and the 3rd i high bid it and the customer ok'ed

Did you get started right there on the spot?

Did you take any pictures of it (before and after) I'd love to see it.

Also, keep us posted on how long it actually took you.

Oh and do you have to worry about dump fees?

no we set it up for this saturday , ill take pics for ya ... as far as dump fees i still charge for the haul away / dump charge but as long as its not massive amount i just put them out on garbage days , i have several yard waste big cans the guys can pick up with the garbage truck with the arm Claw ....i throw the garbage guy some cash every week and he will take what i put out there ....LOL i know that not proper business practices but i make 80 % profit on my dump charges that i can just cycle back in my company to buy new stuff
