Default extreme push-mowing/mods for pushers

I have a few push mowers in my fleet now, and i dont use all of them. anyway, sitting on an extra mower or two, i often wonder how i can push one of them beyond what they are designed for.

for example, one is a bagger style mower. i look at guys doing fall cleanups with riders and they talk about the vaccum power of the system for moving leaves & debris through a tube and into a bagger/can.

in my experience, a mower usually leaves some amount of debris when bagging. not always, but it happens. i am wondering if there are different blades that can be attached to the mower for a more "uplifting/fan" use? perhaps a 4 way cross type of blade?

it might sound crazy, but thats how i think. i cant find any blades like this online. i have a buddy who welds, i might have him fabricate this for me to experiment with.

i also wonder how i might be able to mod a mower engine for snow blowing. might sound crazy, some may say that the engine isn't powerful enough, but as a man of science, i still wonder about it.

the world of push mower modding seems quite empty online, and i wonder if anyone has tried anything extraordinary witht heir own push mowers? small engines are exciting to me, personally. i wonder what else i could do with an extra mower laying around all the time.

any ideas or input, guys?

Lawn care business tips
i interpret that this video is a Volswagen Golf powered via a lawnmower engine.

it sounds like a lawnmower engine. if this is the case, it's amazing!

dixie chopper has a X blade. Honda has a double cut blade.

If you want to mod a mower put a tank track system on that puppy.

Or maybe fab up 2 decks together. Have a pulley power both blades.

Something I thought of doing with a old push mower. Is cutting the front of the deck off and using it like a brush cutter.

Mow snow? Mmmmm... no.

A backpack blower works beautifully though with the right type of snow.

A little while back, someone else showed us a picture of their cross blades. Gravely makes them too. Here is a picture of them.

you might want to check with your insurance agent before you modify your mower as if I modify it I take all responsibility for it liability wise such as if someone gets hurt or killed from a rock thrown after removed the front of the mower I can get sued or even jail time.

I dont see as how that mower being like it is would be very functional? Why cut the front off then put a plastic guard over it essentially covering up the part you just cut off? I dont think that would be a very effective set up. just my opinion

according to the description the flap flexes back when grass pushes against it.
