Earwigs

So I've got an earwig problem, they are inside the house.

2 years ago it was ants, last year it was spiders, now these bastards.

I managed to trap an earwig alive, and now my scientist side is in full bloom.

Test 1
I had tried to capture the earwig into a jar, so that I wouldn't have to pick it up and kill it by accident.

It seems as though the creature has poor eyesight, and would only flee in the opposite direction if my hand was an inch in front of it. I could not trick it into running into my jar of doom, it wanted to stay on the floor.

I understand that these creatures are amazing climbers, unfortunately, I had tilted the jar over the earwig, yet he refused to climb the walls of it after a long period of time. Doing so meant that I could flip the jar and put the lid on.

Anyway, my patience grew thin, so I had to pick the bug up with my hand and drop it into the jar. Once the lid was on, he only then decided to climb the jar walls.

I am now thinking of some fun experiments to run.

Any suggestions?

I could catch another bug and watch them fight to the death... There's a nearby mosquito I could lure into the jar of doom.

UPDATE:

He is 1.5cm in length.

Lawn care business tips

I suggest extracting a sample of its DNA and injecting it into your body.

Having one of those pinchy-thingies grow out your butt would be badass and you may be able to prune shrubs with it too!

Last year I caught 3 slugs, and did SCIENCE on them.

I fed them testosterone, now I'm not sure if that did anything, but one slug turned pretty large, and one of the smaller ones disappeared... as if the big slug ate the other one.

They love tomatoes, and certain leaves off a plant I got outside.

Today I will upload a video I just took of the earwig.

Tomorrow I shall find insects to train and fight to the death.

What insects would you like to see battle?

Do you have stink bugs there?

Make a mix of water and a little Dawn dishwashing liquid in a pump spray bottle and enjoy!

When you spray them they start crawling a few inches, flip over, and kick their legs a bit, and die.

It's my LUCKY NIGHT!!!

I threw the earwig into the toilet after the video (awhile ago)... and as I went to brush my teeth I saw him swimming around - still alive.

But then, his opponent for tomorrow had shown himself on the washroom floor.
