Need A New Pressure Washer

Looking for a new pressure washer. The pump on mine went and its around $400 for a new pump. Any suggestions? I need at least 3000 psi and 3.5 gpm. I kinda like this cat pump for $799. Its 3800 psi 3.5 GPM. I have never had a yamaha engine before but its usually the pumps that are a problem.

That is an engine you do not see everyday, I would be leery of where you could get parts such as an air filter for it. A horizontal shaft triplex pump if taken care of will last for years of use. We have one almost 20 years old that has never gave us any problems with use in the shop.

my epps has a general pump on it with an 11 hp honda ,I bought it in 1996 and works as new with zero issues over the years .4.5 gpm and 4500 psi kicks butt on the toughest jobs .

You should be able to get a replacement pump for less than that.

The closest pump they have for my machine is $380. .

I think I might pick up a used excell 3500 psi at 4 gpm with a 13 hp honda. The guy was asking $500 but I got him down to $300. The only problem is a 70 mile drive. The crazy part is the pump for that machine is $20 cheaper then mine.

I could use the used one till the pump dies then put on a brand new pump for a total of $660. Thats not a bad deal considering I might not have a problem for a few years.

I sell some pumps as low as $150 what engine do you have to mount it on.

its a honda gx200. The oem pump is a AR xmv3g27.

I bought a new pressure washer. I used it today and it was what I expected. Its rated for 3300 psi @ 3 gpm. It doesnt seem any different then my ten year old 2700 psi @ 3 gpm with the exception its working. I looked at a few used units that were bigger but they were sold before I was decided on buying.

The decision came down to the Yamaha with the Cat above and the Subaru with the Cat below. I ended up going with the Subaru since I can get some parts at Home Depot.

I still want to put a new pump on my old Honda but the damn thing wont come off the shaft.

Yep. If yer washing houses you don't want a lot of pressure. Just get a new pump or rebuild the one you have. It's not to hard.
