Default Smart Phone apps!?

The past few yrs my iPhone has played a big part in my business. We all know their abilities... I'm always on the hunt for cool new apps that can help out in the field. I'm aware of a few, but can anyone offer some other apps they know of!? Greatly appreciated.

I have the following: percents app/ allows me to caculate totals including area sales tax quick and easy. Lawn & Landscape by Texterity/ keeps me up to date on the latest commercial landscape news. This is not an app but I copied the link and bookmarked it on my main screen. Landscape calculator this website allows me to enter square footage to find out how much material I need.. Mulch stone mowing plants etc. I did the same for this site.. http://www.ereplacementparts.com/ has everything you need for small parts like recoils for blowers , the smallest parts with organized diagrams. And last but definitely not least, the weather channel app. Thanks guys!

I was not aware that ereplacement parts worked with a smartphone... I am working on a design for my site that has breakdowns you could store to your phone, do you think that work interest you?

Yes that would definately interest me. Would you have to be a member to your site? And required to purchase to view diagrams? If not I think that would take away from your business. I think if people had the break downs & part numbers on there phone they would try local dealers first to save shipping time

Awww, crap. More rain?

It is interesting to hear what others may be using. Maybe I'll find something helpful through this thread.

not sure about that, I have nothing against getting parts at local dealers so I will not have it set up to where you have to buy from me. The only downside is I will be starting with the equipment brands I sell like Hustler and Bobcat. We also should have our smartphone design finished this week.

I too love apps and am constantly searching for new ones to download. I have a Blackberry and right now I use "Calendar Pro" which is better then the calendar that comes with the phone, but I heard that Apple has better apps. So I use this to cover all my appointments and tasks so that they're all in the same place. Tasks include "Phone Calls, Estimates, Bids Due..." The Calendar has alarms and reminders so it helps to have all the info in one place; I've left for an estimate and forgot the address on my desk so now all I have to do is look through my phone. I also have a "411" app to search vendors or suppliers while I'm in the field, it has saved me more then once. But again, I hear Apple has alot more and better apps so I'm sure you can do better. I search "Productivity" or business and look around in the results for something new, becasue I'm always looking for new ways to keep organized.

The absolutly best App I have is the p&p app. works all the time, never is 'down', portable, works at any angle, any light(except total darkness.

Pencil and paper, I carry a small notebook in my pocket, and a pencil.

I use Microsoft outlook to keep track of all of my new accounts. Outlook has saved my butt many times...it has "Notes" where you can categorize whatever it is you need to keep track of such as: Belts, Filters , trailer tire sizes, etc.

Of course there is a catch, if you want to sync to your desktop Outlook from your Android phone...you need another app. Mobisynapse $10. It works great!

This will ensure if your phone decides to stop working, you will have it backed up already and not a bunch of scribble paper laying around everywhere.
