Dust Masks?

I work in a dry desert climate. The mower kicks up a lot of dirt even in the nicer grass. I'm sure I breathe a lot of it though I try to avoid it. Do you recommend wearing a dust mask? Who has done that? Did it work well? What kind?

I get mine at Lowes, just the white little bubble type. They work OK. Truly cutting down on the dust I inhale. However if you want to eliminate dust then go with a full respirator

I swear I thought I was the only one with a dust problem when cutting grass, others thought I was crazy.

When I go home to shower, tub turns black lol.

You could always use a bandanna and wrap it around your nose/mouth. Masks get expensive and have a lifespan (they become useless at a point in time).

Think I'll try the cheap ones on the dustier jobs. I get black snot from some jobs.

Hahahaha that hazmat suit would be awesome! I've got some dusty jobs around here and that would be perfect. Add some a/c to that baby and your good to go.

I just started to wear a dust mask and big difference It makes on my lungs. My lungs had a light weezing from everything in was breathing in. Now its all gone. Pain in the *** to wear but dumb not to...

I have never had luck with white bubble masks.Picking up leaves is the worst for "black snot" I'll try the bandanna wrap, see if that works
Any suggestions for eyes. Mine feel raw after a day of mulching leaves?
