Green Earth Lawn Care equipment/work/stripes

Hey everyone havnt posted on this site in a long time! 2012 will be the 3rd year for my business and the 4th season of cutting grass full time. The first picture is of my old truck and trailer set up. The rest of the pictures are all from this mowing season. I redid up the sides on my trailer and built a basket to hold gas cans and the back pack blower. The taller sides have really helped with hauling mulch and doing clean up jobs. The last picture was taken when i was fixing up the trailer. Ill post more pictures as the season goes on. Thanks for looking!

spent 6K on nearly new equipment.
Drove 2 hours (one way) last night to check out some equipment, left 6000 poorer but with:
14 by 7 big tex trailer with tall sides, electric brake hook up and all other bells and whistles - racks, box, trimmer line, etc
48 inch Encore x treme zero turn 290 hours
2 husq weedeaters
1 husq edger
1 husq chainsaw
1 husq backpack blower
1 push mower
1 self propelled mower
hand tools
All this equipment is in great shape, a steal @ 5000 and will go nicely with my walk behind ExMark and all Stihl equipment... this is the next step I needed to start a 2nd crew.

Buiness is just crazy right now... my wife is a teacher, I am ready for her summer to start so she can handle the phone calls.

i have been looking to make larger sides on my 6.5 by 12 trailer.
my sides are basically at the height of the lower bar running across your trailer.
could you show some close up pictures of how it is welded to that middle bar

Hey Steve,
Congratulations on all your success!
Do you have any tips to all the new business owners that are looking to get through their first year?

Always do a good job is key especailly when you are starting out and trying to make a name for yourself. Never low ball to get customers is another big thing. I know it feels good getting customers but getting a customer because you are way cheaper is really only hurting yourself plus someday if your business grows your gona have to raise your prices to pay for your larger over head if you want to stay in business. I found it important right off the bat to buy commersial equipment. SAVE YOUR MONEY and put it back into the business. I pretty much started my business with 4 yards and a junky lowes grade zero turn that belonged to my parents. I now maintain over 75 accounts weekly. I have always went for the larger propertys my smallest is 1/2 an acre and my largest is 6. Good luck to everyone out there!

Here are some pictures. I think i put about 900 dollars into the trailer this winter that includes the sides and the gorilla lift and the trimmer rack.
