How do you do leaf clean up?

Right now, I have a 5 x 10 trailer with 4 foot high sides that are removable. I load up the leaves, tarp the top, and go down the road. I have been trying to come up with another way of doing this eventually, because I am on the side of the road, adjusting my bungees and tarp sometimes on the account of my tarp flying up and letting leaves come jumping out. But I think it was the way I was strapping it down. I would invest in a leaf vacuum, I just don't have the funds right now. Anyone else do anything different?

POOR MAN'S way (aka my way) Mesh Tarp on top so it does not act like a sail Rake the leaves onto tarps and bundle it on the trailer that way when dumping pull the tarps out and shake. bungees are not safe try ratchet straps

Our city is over the top on recycling so leaves have to be bagged and left at the curb, so I work in the burbs and we do not take jobs where we have to haul away. I have two tow lawn sweepers which work good and two commercial Dr Leaf vac's which are friggin amazing, along with blowers, rakes etc. Going to sell the Dr. Vac's, just doesn't fit the business model in my case, one is almost new as we didn't offer the service last fall.

scrap the old tarp and get a mesh style tarp. it breathes so the wind doesent effect it as much and your bungees will stay tight.

I have a 5x8 trailer with 2.5-3' high sides. It fills up fast.

My solution is to focus on areas that do curbside pickup. Blow leaves to curb in a nice, neat pile, collect pay, move on.

This solution is useless if you don't live in a place where the city does leaf collection.
