Default 2007 Husky WH4817 Walk Behind Mower ????

I have come across a brand new Husky WH4817 walk behind mower it is at a store that is no longer a Husky dealer they have been sitting on it since 2007 it has .4 hrs on it.

They are asking $3500.00 + taxes for it.

Can anyone tell me about this mower pros/cons do you recommend it or not.

I feel that if they have been sitting on it for 5 years that it is not worth what they are asking and that I should offer far less.

Totally appreciate any thoughts...

The new model goes for $5200 US funds but it would be appr $7000 up here in Canada.

well you are getting a new mower with warranty. If the dealer has been sitting on it this long they are not likely to lower the price anymore as they are prob already loosing money on it. You can always offer him a lower price but all I can say is if you want the mower you have to pay the dealer the asking price. As for it sitting I am sure the dealer will take care of the mower if he is still in business selling other equipment.

WOW I now have the ex-dealer down to $2750.00 he is going to get his shop to check out the mower and is supposed to call me later this week or early next week to let me know how it runs.

I I told my local Husky dealership about this mower and asked if it would be covered by warranty they stated that the warranty starts from the day I buy it as long as the mower has never been registered before which it hasn't.

I'm going to try and get the ex-dealer down to $2500.00 on the mower.

I picked up the mower to give it a demo run today...

I took it over to an old folks home/hospital that a buddy of mine is the care taker for he hasn't cut the grass there yet this year and the lawns are large = perfect place to learn how to run this thing.

I have to say this is not the easiest mower to learn how to run the controls are instant and if you mess up look out.

What normally takes him at least 8 hours with his 21" wlak behind took me less than an hour to do.

I wasn't bagging (the unit did not come with a bag set up) I whipped thru grass that was tall and thick I had the unit on the lower speed setting top speed I could jog behind it.

took a while to get the hang of the mower and I still need a lot more time to be really good with it but like I said before it cut so well I had to keep it.

So I called up the store and made the deal at $2750 + tax = 3 equal payments today/May & June.

Retail up here was $6950.00 for this unit.

Here is a pic of me cutting the grass at my house tonight I'm showing my wife my new prize.
