I figured we should all call out where we are positioned in the search engines for key phrases and then see how our rank improves over time. I am trying to improve on the key word phrase lawn care marketing Right now, http://lawnchat.com I want to get it to number one. So if anyone can help with links, I'd appreciate it. <a href="http://lawnchat.com">lawn care marketing</a> Also show us where you are and where you want to be so we can help you.

Quick tip...

- Go to alerts.google.com
- Type in "lawn care marketing" in search query
- Select "everything" as result type
- Select "as it happens" as how often
- Select " only best results" as how many
- create a dummy email account and put it in for the email.

This creates what is called a google alert. every time fresh content is posted to the web using your specified keyword, google will send an email notice to the specified email account.

You can then go to these new released sites and if it's possible to leave a comment on the site then use your full anchor code as the name and post a relevant comment.

Sometimes you can even drop the full anchor link in the body of the post. If you can, do it.

Also...

Go to google and search for your keyword. Select "blogs" for result type. and select "past 24 hours"

Go to the blogs and leave comments, sneak your anchor in.

OR...

If you like to write, go write some articles using that keyword and post them on articlesbase.com. Then go to some social bookmarking sites and bookmark them articles (once they are live)

It looks like it's a blog? create more posts with your keyword as the title, and use your keyword in the first paragraph of each post. Use the < h 1 > tags around your keyword.

How many social bookmarking sites should be used? Ideally what is the goal of using the bookmarking sites after writing an article? Do they ping the search engines after you post in them?

Or do you still have to ping the search engines with the article and the bookmarking site urls when you are done to let them know of an update?

The more the better. I usually do the top 10 at least. Basically what you are doing when you bookmark one of your articles is your saying "hey google, this is worth a read" Now when you ping the bookmark your just shooting spitballs at google with the intent on getting G's attention fast.

Don't ping too much. I usually do random pings. Don't make it a habbit. The guru's are constantly going back and fourth on that subject. But just ping things here and there. Don't ping every single link that has to do with your site.

OK I am two months in to my website and I am page 1 rank 3 on google for "Brockton lawn care" Page 1 rank 11 for "Whitman lawn care" this is according to http://www.domain-pop.com If you google "willslawns.com" 183 links come up

Thanks I use SocialMonkee.com about once a week now backlinking my backlinking. I spin the article so each link is different (change names, towns, service talked about) the only thing that stays the same is willslawns.com and even that I spin so different pages on my site are listed
