I have 6 acres on a lake 15 min outside the city, I built the house in 1987, this is the first year the ice has not been thick enough to skate on, most years I am down there around Christmas clearing hockey rinks. In fact I heat my house with hardwood and the shop with wood pellets, I have used maybe 50% of what I normally would, no complaints here although we have a doozie of a storm starting tomorrow, possibly 35cm and the Weather Network is generally right.

That is a beautiful picture!
