Default What should I offer for this mower?

I have been looking for a walk behind or a grand stand mower but I do not want to have to drop the amount of money into a Grandstand. I want a 36-40". I have found this one on Craigslist. He said he would take 2200 without the trailer and I asked what the best he could do and he said make an offer so what would you offer?

Do you suggest me finding a hydro over belt? I like the grandstand because the deck can be lifted quickly and it has the closest thing to a floating deck.

I have for sale a Commercial Toro 36 inch walk behind mower floating deck. 2009 model. Excellent condition starts right up runs great. It cost me $4200 brand new. I used it for residential backyards only so it has very low hours. Comes with trailer if you want. Call or email me at 757-535-4879. $2700

Lawn care business tips
That is the mower I use to run my business. I'd offer $2000. Does it come with a bagger?

The sulky is going to cause issues with the transmission so be prepared with a backup. It's easy to swap on a new transmission. The turboforce deck is HEAVY. The mower is about 150 pounds heavier than it should be. Makes ruts in wet lawns that my old mower didn't.

It makes for a beautiful cut without stripe kits.

Stay away from the 40" model. It's a turd. The 36" or 52" are where it's at.

So it does make decent stripes?

You tell me. (Crappy cell phone picture, sorry.)

This is KBG/rye mix. You may not get stripes like this on warm season turf.

That looks great. Have you altered the deck any way? Such as lowering the rear of the deck?

No, why would you lower the rear of the deck?

Funny. That's what I'm hoping to find (used) myself.
Going to go talk to my dealer to see if he has any available.

I have no idea what a good price would be though.
That one looks fairly clean - good luck!

$2200 obo = $1600 to $1800 cash in hand. who is buying mowers right no one has money and its late in the off season. pull the cash out and say this is what you can pay right NOW, you maybe able to get more in the next few days or so but you need to go look at 3 other mowers that are under $2000 first. If he needs cash all that money right there will make him drop the price.
hope this helps
