Hello all, At present I am in the RNZAF but am looking at starting a small lawnmowing and yardwork business here in New Zealand. I am 28 and love this sort of work which is my main motivation. Any tips or pointers will be most appreciated. Thanks, Marc

Where in NZ are you?? not near Christchurch are you ? should be plenty of work there rebuilding and flatting out the lawns and such.

Where are you so far with your business? Have you gotten any customers yet? If not, could you get some of your friends or family as your first customers and get the business gears turning that way. Then once you get your infrastructure in place, expand out further by reaching out to more people in your area?

Cheers for your replies people. Good to know that I have support. I have know customers as such but like you said I do a couple of my families lawns as a bit of extra cash. Will be expanding in the next month of two. I'm in know rush as I do work full time at the mo but am looking at expanding and doing lawns full time when I am able too. Cheers,

That is a great first step. Can you talk to the neighbors of your family members to see if they need service as well? Can you get lawn signs in you family members lawns?

Can you get some signs on your truck or trailer to promote your services to people driving by as you work?
