I bought this plow last week and installed in on one of the ATV's, woke this morning to lots of white stuff coming down, hope it keeps up!

Lawn care business tips
At least someone is getting snow, good luck!

No snow in sight here. Highs in the 40's, lows hitting 30 at night.

What makes it worse is the prediction ( i know i know can't go off weather reports )...the prediction was 4 significant storms for December, so i figured at least one...we get nothing but rain and 40's and 50's...sigh

I am in the same boat. We have not had one plowing event at all this month. I salted twiced, on two properties, and that is it.

Looking ahead in the forecast, I see nothing for the rest of the month.

@picframer, let us know how it works out.

is that a 4wd or 2wd? Thought about doing the same I just dont want to lug it around in the back of the truck. How do you plan on transporting it?

We were suppose to get snow christmas and the next day but its off now. Ohh well, I wont plow till next year.

This one is a 450 Kodiak, I also have a 700 Brute Force, they are both four wheel drive. Where I live it's critical.

We received 15 to 20cm but man was it heavy, I have V bar chains but never put them on as I was curious how it would do, my driveway is around 950 feet, it never offered once to spin.

I have lots of trailers to transport however this one stays home, the tractors do most of the plowing, the advantage it has over a tractor is speed, even this heavy wet snow it was able to roll it no problem which can be an issue with the tractors.

Over all very impressed with the setup, I don't even have weights yet

if thats running off of your regular winch ,do yourself a favour and get rid of all the winch cable except for a few feet because the cable will birdsnest on you if you have a fairly full spool .

Thanks, I will look at it, It has a factory winch, I bought this new for my daughter many years ago, its in mint condition and I would guess less than 500 miles on it, it's a great working machine.

I have a plow on the 700 also but have never used it personally, we have a few private subdivisions we do so equipment stays in those areas, just to heavy to pull in snow storms.

I was by the ATV shop two weeks ago and the fellow offered me a great price on this Warn plow, it's the provantage model, now I want so some ice so I can try those V Bar chains, they look brutal.

I went down to the basement and took a picture of these chains, I have them for all four tires, they would not be a good option on pavement as it would tear it up but mose driveways around my street are gravel. I would think it next to impossible to get stuck with these friggin things

if your winch cable is factory and pretty much unused ,take it off before you wreck it with your plow ,and get 10 feet of cheap cable and a suitable hook to replace it with .Just remember to swap the cables back if your going 4 wheeling where you might need the longer cable ,as the short one is next to useless when your stuck .
I had a homade plow on an old jeep with an brand new atv winch to lower and raise it ,after the first day ,the cable was pretty much junk from it birdsnesting so I cut it down and had no more issues .Last winter my neighbour bought a plow for his quad ,told him about the cable ,he didnt listen untill after the first snowfall when he ruined his cable .

Thanks Bud, I have some Aircraft cable and will do that today, also have spare grappels. As for the current Winch, it has never been used other than the storm yesterday.
