My friend just broke up with his girlfriend (before Christmas, not very nice).
Obviously he is upset, but refuses to admit it. He's been talking a lot of negative crap, and posting sad pictures on his Facebook.

This is how you need to handle these situations, by never giving up!

/

Scott: how are you doing?

Friend: im alright your self?

Scott: thinking about you lol
going through a lot of ****ty emotions aren't ya?

Friend: not really

Scott: what's up my man?
let me know how you feel

Friend: im fine im the one who did the breaking up

Scott: are you feeling any regret, or anger?

Friend: no

Scott: Do you feel like she is incapable of making things better, and it's damn frustrating because to you, what she needs to do is actually very simple?

Friend: not really

Scott: tell me everything.
do you feel as though she is holding you back?

Friend: no n ill tell you later

Scott: I want whats best for you ****, I really do.

Lawn care business tips
Ducke, stay positive. Be around people who are positive. You need to focus, hell I don't even watch the news or read the paper anymore because it is usually bad news. Take a vacation, I take one every winter usually to the Caribbean where it is sunny and warm. Not grey and dreary it actually recharges the batteries.

As for depression and the severity you have, you could never be free of it.

I know my situation is pretty crummy, the more fun I have, the worse off I will feel later on. It's kind of like having a 'crash' when reality sets in.

I have actually had my anxiety attacks yesterday, being stuck without anything to do, and no will to do anything for over a month (seriously, I stare at a wall most of the day) will hit you after awhile. Personally, I love being alone, but I do get sick of my own company.

Distractions help, but only if they are constant. Inside, you will always know you are distracting yourself which can be hurtful. I'm not sure if my case is similar to others because I do have several other problems mixed in. Other than that, being with the opposite sex and having a grand old time may increase your spirits. In all seriousness, It's one of the few things that have results that don't give you a crash.

I could tell those with depression to avoid staying up late, and to hangout with friends. In reality and for those who suffer from depression, we all know it's easier said than done. Depression is something that causes us to act out against our natural will. I have done some mighty crazy things over the years because of it, and for no understandable reason.

The best thing I have done, was to let the people in my life know up front that I have 'x' conditions so that they are not offended by my behavior.

/

Wishing you all the best. Remember that depression often has an 'end' period and you will end up back on track. Sure it'll come back to haunt you throughout your life, but reminding yourself that it will eventually be over helps, and will keep you from being overly self-destructive.

I love the way you can put the way I feel into words.
I am experiencing the feelings but have a hard time putting them into words.
Depression is not any fun and its not as easy as saying stop it and move on, Its more then just Christmas but it times like Christmas that bring it out. Things are better right now as I am busy and the big day is right around the corner, It was the whole tree thing for some reason that set me off this year. It may have been the decorations that were Mom's or the hand blown ornaments that Dad had gotten in France in the 50's. Just got my mind going.
But I have a great circle of friends and a loving and caring wife and you guys that I can count on to be there for me.
Thank you everyone , Merry Christmas , enjoy your time off and your family and friends. Hold them a little longer and a little tighter this year and tell them you love them.
