A little while back we talked about Clean Air Lawn Care. Well they were presented with the Bronze Environmental Achievement Award from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Small engines, in particular 2-stroke engines used in conventional lawn care equipment, contribute to 10-12% of the nation's air pollution. Gas lawn mowers consume 580 million gallons of gasoline annually and 25-35% of this fuel escapes unburned. The AZ government recently gave an Executive Order to stop using gasoline powered lawn equipment by June 30, 2007.
