Please explain what kind of curb you are talking about, and what piece of equipment you are using, the curiosity is killing me.

If it's a tractor you are using, I can see the problem - but not for a mower much smaller.

If you are just starting out with a tractor and have not thought of a way to get onto the lawn - the curb is best. Trust that your machine will climb the curb with the right amount of speed and control. Getting down from a curb is extremely simple, you must go slow so that the curb is always gripped as you make your way onto the road.

If its a tractor or most zero turns you can use two 2x6 or 2x8 boards length wise as ramps or stack wood in front of the curb (like a step) to decrease the height it will spread it out and you probably won't get hung up with your deck

I back my 60" ZTR with the left rear hitting the curb. I continue to back up until front left wheel is on curb. Turn right side of tire onto curb and it comes right up without hitting the deck.
