Default How many customers?

Just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of how many customers I should be able to get in my first year? I live in a major metro area and just offer mowing, trim, edge and blow. My price will be reasonable for the area. In 2016 I will offer more services but for 2015 I will stay limited. Maybe a shrub/hedge here and there. If you want to throw any ideas of the best way to get them it would be appreciated also. Thanks

If you are solo and your average yard is 1/4 acre. You can do 60 yards a week full time if you offer basic service. Do not travel to far unless the price is worth the added windshield time.

I still plan to stay part-time this season and shooting for 30 accounts. My average yard is a 1/4 acre. Price for my area is around $35 per yard. $1000 a week before taxes and expenses.

Last year was my 1st year, ran a ad in local newspaper and few small advertising and im starting out with 30 customers this year, all residential

From around Jun-Nov I was able to get 17-20 just off Craigslist and people seeing me working. Never underestimate the marketing power of CL. I'd rather put my money into equipment than pay the ridiculous cost for flyers, etc.

You have an idea now of how many a single operator can handle in a week.

Now you can experiment with your marketing.

Possibly get some postcards made and send out a different mailers to homes you want to target this spring.

The more you target them, the better your chances are of getting them to call you. You could potentially target the same house 6 times in a year.

How many customers you could get really comes down to how much effort you put into your marketing.

What is the ridiculous price of flyers? And what is etc? I know it stands for etcetera but what do you mean... what else is ridiculous besides flyers?
