how often you would have to mow, trim bushes and spray
I was planning on visiting weekly. Mowing, spraying, and blowing, every week. With edging being every other. I was also planning on doing the bush trimming twice yearly, along with the flower planting.

buy a lil 36 inch stander zero turn
At this pint in time, I can't. My money is tied up with an investment, and I owe the IRS from last year.

In the end, I an going to decline the offer to bid. I'm still very small, and feel that I will be getting in over my head with this.

The following the what I am sending her. Hopefully I'm not burning a bridge. But I am really small.

The following is what I sent her:

I wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity to bid on the ABC Apartments. At this point in time I'm still a one-man-show who focuses primarily on residential homes and small commercial properties, so I still have a hard time judging just how much work might be warranted on larger properties (such as apartments). With respect, I would have to decline the offer at the time. I feel that my company is still just too small. And while I would really appreciate the work, I feel that because I am still a small company I would be getting myself in just a little too deep.

I would recommend contacting XXX Landscape Maintenance Inc. Jeff, the owner, has helped me in the past with advice when I was just starting out. Even now I still ask him for advice from time to time. You can reach them at XXX-XXX-XXXX. They have been around for far longer then I have.

Again, I really appreciated the opportunity.

Lawn care business tips
Well sometimes you just have to pass some by.. But it is good that you at least let the manager know you can not do it at this time. At least next year you might have the option to bid again with them.

That equals close to the $19 per door charge that I was saying before. How many apartment units does your place have?

What chemicals are you using?

You should ask your friend if he would share with you how he would bid it. Since you are handing him a potential job, he should be able to offer you a suggestion on how he would bid the property.

I'm am having to look up all those chemicals as I don't know what they are.

For anyone else who doesn't know:

Dimension: Crabgrass Herbicide
Cross-Check: Insecticide
Momentum: Herbicide
Allectus: Insecticide
Momentum Q: Herbicide

All I am doing now for my customers is just spot treating the weeds. I was using "Weed Whacker" from Monterey. I recently bought Weedar 64. I do do a grub control treatment in the winter to treat for European Cranfly, but that's all.

Should I be doing more? The chemicals I have been using have been working just fine in keeping the weeds dead. And I can only assume that the grub control has been working as well, since this is my first year after applying it last winter.
