Fuel filters need to be how full at all times?My mower(dc 25 hp) seems to be starving for fuel.I was told it is a venting problem

Can you see air in the fuel filter?

Maybe take it off and get a little gas in there before you put it back in line?

Do you have a primer bulb on it that you can push to get the air out?

The wire coming from the carb bowl does what?

the wire coming off the bowl is a fuel solenoid it shuts off the fuel when you turn off the engine. As for the fuel filter it depends on the filter as to how full it looks.

anytime your having a fuel issue change the fuel filter, every time a see a fuel problem I hear venting issue. 90% of the time it is not a venting issue to test that when it is starving for fuel remove the gas cap and see if it straightens out.

Most likely it is either a carb issue or a fuel filter. The other possibility is with the heat in some parts of the country it could vaperlock.

That engine has been on the mower since like 02. I doubt if it's vapor lock but maybe.My 22 hp has a shield between the carb and muffler but not the 25 hp.
