I am looking to make my business official in the state of Oklahoma. i started out just maintaining my families properties but now i am starting to grow out of it and need to know what exactly i need to do to make the business legal. so far i have a registered trade name and an EIN. other than that i just have a business checking account. What else do i need to do to make this legitimate? thanks for any help.
You may need a license with your local township. You also need to look into commercial liability insurance, lastly you might need a sales tax license if your state requires you to collect sales tax for the services you offer.
I can't think of anything else beyond that at the moment.
