She hires someone else to do all the landscaping stuff. I just mow and do gutter cleaning. But she overpays me (her choice) so I'm cool with it. But I'm not too into landscaping. But show me another 17 year old who is. BUT, the great thing is, there's this new guy that comes up into my neighborhood, and mows 3 properties, he has ones that are in between two of mine, so mine are all nice and looking good, while he cuts his wayyyyy to short and scalps parts. 2 of the clients have came to talk to me about a price.

Which could lead you to a new marketing campaign. You could promote how you don't scalp lawns and how others in the area do.

I mention that at my estimates. But, I'm the ONLY person with a lawn care company in Waverly, Ohio that strips lawns a little. No one else does. There 2 other big companies (3 crews) in Waverly, and 2 Smaller ones (1 two man crew) and then there's me. A one man crew. I've ran the two big ones out of my neighborhood almost. One other small one does a bigger property that I don't want. and the other one does two SMALL properties that I don't want. So it works out. But I've had 4 mowing weeks so far. I've been referred so many times so far it's not funny. I've gotten 10 calls in the last week. Some are too big for my equipment and too time consuming. So I refer them to my friend who does it as a neighborhood kid. But I've been told by one of the other mowing companies that I (a 17 year old) is the biggest competition they've seen in years. I felt like a man when he told me this.
