Question What do you do on Rain Days?

So as of late its been raining here so not much going on so yesterday I did a little maintenance of my equipment.
I have an "Old" 1986 Toro that I really love using so I was changing the oil and Plug etc. when I noticed the rear wheels were Bald no wonder it didn't make it up the slopes so well so I decided to see about some new ones. Well that was an interesting search I found some but they were $50.00 each plus freight was $100.00 so I did the next best thing I retreaded the old wheels.
I just took a hack saw ans some elbow grease and away I went I think they will work out.
So tomorrow is rain again I wonder what I can McGiver next.

Lawn care business tips
LOL! Good stuff! Those tires look like they'll last 100 more years!

Well, usually on rainy days I'm either very frustrated at getting behind - or grateful for the day off!!!

I'll usually take this time to prepare/organize myself for the rest of the week.... Maybe watch a bit of T.V....

.... get drunk

//////////////////

The thing I hate, is when it rains for half of a day... I find myself checking outside constantly hoping for it to continue, as I would have already made myself extremely comfortable, and I will usually begin to procrastinate.

Would you be able to change those tires? Do you have a way to break the bead on them?

Have you tried them yet? How did they work?

I also get frustrated when it rains continually, I'm ready for it to be good working conditions. I have about $2,000 worth of work I was planning on doing the past 2 days and it snowed the first and rained the second I even had workers secured for those days and now they cant work the other days.

But I guess this rainy day was alright I got some organization done and secured another $45 mowing customer.

On rainy days I just wish it would stop so I could work (except in the drought of summer). It sure feels good though when you find a task to do on those days and you complete it in stellar fashion, like those wheels (looks good).

Over the last three weeks I think we've had 3 rain-free (not to be confused with "dry") days.

It rained today off and on.
I did two estimates between the raindrops, then drove in a big loop, making stops at pre-determined destinations to pick up business related supplies. 50 miles later and the $20 I put in the tank yesterday has vanished "just like that".

Supposed to rain hard tomorrow afternoon.
Going to do a mow estimate early, then taking my wife shopping.

To summarize, it would appear that what I do when it rains is "spend money I don't have".

Hey usually when it rains here which is about 2-3 weeks during the rainy season i usually do maintenance to the machines before or after work. Also i work on flyers, website, or craigslist ads when it rains, funny thing is that i'm busier when it rains then when its not raining, i call clients schedule appointments and look for areas where i can make more money haha i think im obsessed with the business side of Lawn care

It's starting to snow right now... lol

I remember being able to cut grass before April last year, nothing special is happening now....

I can't decide whether to get the shovels out, or the mowers!
