Default Well IDK what to do

Well I started back with work yesterday. It went well left the house at 5:30 to start on vacants.

Latly I have been thinking of selling off all my equipment and investing it in something else over the winter. I love my job and plan to pick back up with it next year but I haven't felt like my self latly and maybe doing something else will make me feel better.

If your planning on picking it back up next year, you would be foolish to sell off now. You wont get near what it will cost to replace. Not to mention you'll have to basically start all over next season.

the question is do I want to just leave the business a lot has happend in my personal life and I can't handle it all. It's not that I don't have enough time but I have felt down the past couple weeks so much so I have gotten sick and dealing with the equipment and people just isn't helping.

I'm going to make a pro and con list. I might have Tyler finish out my season for me. I have been in the business up since 2008 and I have never felt this way before it may just be time to move on.

Why dont you just hire him to run your company?
Pay him a small percentage.

Life can be stressful at times, I get that. You are a kid still in high school?!?! If you are stressed out now then you are in for a treat when you get to adulthood!! You don't have the normal stuff to deal with that most on here do. you don't have a mortgage, vehicle payment, dr. bills, child care, multiple insurance policy payments, tax obligations. I could go on and on but you get the picture. You should also be able to separate your personal life from your work life. I don't see how work could be adding to your "level of stress" you cranka da mower, you cut a da grass!!

Is it the equipment breakdowns and problem customers that is causing you to feel down?

I'd like to hear some of your pros and cons.

Something to consider is this. No matter where you go, what industry you get involved with, there will always be issues. Customer, equipment, etc etc. If you realize this, you will see that it's not just you. This kind of stuff happens to everyone. Part of the game is to push forwards.

Equipment problems? Fix it or replace it. You can do it.

Customer problems? Is is something you can resolve? If not, maybe get rid of that 1 or 2 customers that are dragging you down and find others that won't.

All the skills you are learning now will help you in the future. You can do this! Keep at it. Figure out what the problems are, walk through it and move forwards.

I don't know why I feel down.

Equipment is a easy fix a spindle broke a mount trailer needs rear tires the trimmer was ran over. It's just the hassle of getting this stuff taken care of plus I have to send out invoices and late notices. And my dad and I disagree all the time

As I have stated in my other post I have many things I want to do and there is a lot I have missed out on.

One thing is for sure I am picking up a winter job with great hours and what I think is great pay. So I will be selling off or trading most of my equipment and if i decide to continue lawn care i will be purchasing new exmarks next year. To keep everything uniform and it will save me time and money.
