Talking Craigslist Advice

So you want to use craigslist and would like to stand out from your competitors.

One thing is for sure, people will usually click on links if a picture is included within your ad.

So let's say you created an advertisement with photos of your work or just a neat design.

STEP 1

I will use this picture for my demonstration;

http://breezelawnservice.ca/logo.png

I have uploaded this picture to my website, you can even use photobucket.
The idea is to somehow put this picture into "Craigslist" and have it link to my website once a user has clicked on it.

STEP 2

We know the following;

www.breezelawnservice.ca is my website
and
http://breezelawnservice.ca/logo.png is my picture

Now we must provide some code in order to have it display properly;

STEP 3

We are almost done, though if you test your ad on Craiglist - it looks silly as it is not CENTERED.

So how can we center our advertisement in Craigslist to make it look more professional?

We will be adding "tags" to our previous code;

Your advertisement should now look like this;

http://breezelawnservice.ca/logo.png

Go ahead, click it!

I am centered text

Scott,

Can you explain to us how you use that design? What happens when the potential customer calls up and asks about the free cleanup?

I tell the caller when our "weekly" service begins and ends, and that payments are to be made per month-minimum. I tell them that the final month of the season is 1/2 the price they paid during the previous month, as we end mid October and do not charge for work we do not do.

I then explain to them that we are offering our customers a free fall cleanup at a value of $100 if they are to stick with us for the entire duration of the standard season.

..............

The ad above has a typo, I made it very fast using nothing other than "Flash" aka my cocaine software.

I wanted to go to bed or something but didn't want to miss the opportunity of posting an ad - so I rushed it. Still looks neat though!

"receive" <** tough word! lol

Do you say anything about they have to make their payments on time or is that not part of it? They just have to sign up for a year's worth of lawn care?

When the call me, I need to give them a good impression.

So I don't get into that sort of detail if I can avoid it - instead they will receive my flyer which explains how exactly they will receive this offer.

They will get the flyer before I receive any money, and they have the choice to back out.

me = good guy
flyer = annoying guy

lol
