Steve, thanks to your help we won the job this week. There were seven who bid. They did not take the high nor did they take the lowest bid so we were okay with what we came up with. I do not like the idea that anyone can sign up on this thing so I cannot share much more information than that. Again thanks for your help.

Lawn care business tips
First off, congratulations! This is really gonna help you get more comfortable with bidding on jobs and landing new customers.

Keep us posted on how this goes. Once you get out there and start performing the job, let us know how the time and effort compares with what you thought it was going to take and if there were any issues that surprised you.

Great job!

(13,200 long x 12 ft wide) = 158,400 sqft in total

Now I used the calculator and set the mowing speed of a 60 inch mower to about 10 ft per sec. and came up with a time to mow it at about an hour.

What's your thoughts on that?
Steve we mowed this for the first time today. You were right it took ONE HOUR to finish!!! I need to know how to use that calculator thing. I had to go off your numbers because it will not let me put anything in the boxes.

WOW WHAT A TOOL!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know why it wouldn't let you put any numbers in. Do you have any other computers in your home or family members that can try this on another computer and see if you get different results?

Steve it wants me to buy it. Maybe this is the problem. Why would you say I can use it for free but then ask me to buy it? Can it be used with smart phones or would it be too small? Sure could help out working a bid in the field.

Well, you should be able to use it for free online. The purchased version can be used on your laptop.

I currently don't have a phone version available.

So far the bid that was given to the city has worked out very well. We are working on the front beds now and took a before photo. Once we are done I will see about sending them to you. We park our trailer right on the main hwy so it's like a billboard while we are working! Time will tell if it pays off on other jobs. Again this form is such a comfort and I want to thank you guys who try to help others! Means a lot.

Default Government Bid Update

Well it is so hard it has been a year since I posted this string. My contract was up, so it went out to bids again. I got it again this year! They like the work we did and also thought the numbers were good as well.
