Default Need Help Placing Commercial Landscape Bid

Hello, I am new to the lawncare business. I am currently in the process of placing a commercial landscape bid. I have recently been asked by an apartment complex to submit a bid. I have a list of what they would like done to the property. I also know the current price they are paying. I want to perform the same services, charge them less -and also get the contract. I need assistance step-by-step on how to go about placing the bid. Is there anyone that would be willing to help me with this task? I already have a business license and am fully insured.

First off, make a list of the services you are going to provide them.

How many sq ft will you be mowing?

How many linear feet will you be trimming and edging?

How often will these services happen and what is your time estimate per service, per visit?

You can figure it out right here if you take it step by step. Putting the time in now to create a proper bid will benefit you the entire next year while you service it.

There are no fast paths to coming up with a price. You need to break it down into each service and know what amount of time each will take.

If you can't figure out that time, you can measure distances and square footage and then use the lawn care calculators to come up with times and prices.

I agree, There is no fast path to ensuring you tender comprehensively and accurately, the fact that you already know what they are currently paying is helpful, and it's understandable that you wish to beat this price to win the contract, but what you must also remember is the currant contractor could have priced it very tightly and have a fine profit margin, Time and motion is the key that Steve is getting at and ensures both parties are happy with the deal in the long run. Good luck with the tender.
