I have a John Deere, I never thought I would own one as I have three ATV's however last summer the staff noticed them at Deere and came up with a number of uses, Our's was a special edition that came with a snow plow, the guys are using it for snow removal and it works great.

In landscaping it is used for a host of things, carrying sod, retaining wall rock, logs (I built a special box for the bed which can be installed for this) carrying trees to be planted etc.

It's a Gator 620

Here are images and a post from May

Thanks, the plow is super fast to put on, see the two round holes in the front, the attachment goes into those with two pins and then your hydraulics plug in. I leave it about 20 min from home and the guys plow two private communities with it, I need to take some pics but it has doors and a windshield that we install and there is a heater inside.

This was a limited edition and Deere had it for two years on the floor, I think the price scared people away, they offered me a very good price, mainly because we buy so much and the fact they wanted to get rid of it for a new line up, I forget how much it was, I think around five grand which is less than the ATV's I have.

It was home in the fall to have the plow put on and my daughter and friend used it to bring firewood up the driveway, works slick.

Andy,

What is your view on the benefit of using one to plow versus a truck or even a snow blower? Are there any downsides to it that you have found so far?

I have a Kubota utv900 series. The thing will do anything you want it to do. I have a 6 foot boss plos electric over hydrolic so it is its own system seperate from the system on the UTV. I plowed 24 inches of snow the day after christmas in westchester NY and had no problems at all. This machine is well worth the money. I would recomend this machine to anybody looking for a UTV to plow with and have fun with to. Below is a picture of my machine.
