hello yall just signed up on this forum. been reading it for a couple weeks now and boy howdy is there some awesome info on here. been wanting to work for myself for quite awhile now. i been a brake and suspension mechanic all my life and am burned out bad on it. plan on starting up in spring part time and have learned alot on here already. hope i am succesful only time will tell. yall have a great day

yeah Steve , I will be starting part time in spring. been talking to alot of people i know for business. some say will give me work. I quit my job right before Thanksgiving as i was fed up working for someone else ten or twelve hours a day with no control over my destiny. luckily i quit on saturday and my wife started work on monday. i am mr mom right now so when i start it i will setup to do the work in late afternoon and evening. dont figure i start off crazy with it just slow and steady. reinvest as i go and do great work at a fair price. WILL NOT LOWBALL OR BE A CUTTHROAT. thanks for this awesome forum

I was kind of in your shoes little over a year ago. But instead of quitting I was fired from a GPS company. Yes you know who it is since it's the only GPS company in the US. Which is a long and legal battle which is still in Federal court for the last year. Oh Well moving on,
With the first full year under my belt and did pretty well for the first year. Everyone has thier own way of running a business. Make a plan, know where you want to be and where you want to go. If you have the basic's in equipment the business will pay for new and more equipment as you go along. Advertising is the big thing, Get your name out there talk to as many people as you can. Think of doing some good will donate some services you never know where it may end up. Good Luck.

well glad it worked well for you. figure i will do ok myself. i got the basics in tools so just have to work around my wifes schedule so i can be mr mom while she workin. hope you have a happy new year and prosper this year. lets all go make us fifty to sixty grand lol
