Who publishes Turf Magazine, and do you guys read it much??

I get it emailed to me each month. It's put out by Moose River Media's. It has a lot of interesting stuff in it. Best of all it's free!

I was thing about checking out the advertising rates.

That probably would get you some orders. Find out first the circulation and see if its large enough to take the chance. I would maybe wait until FEB or March to run it though right at beginning of the season.

I receive it but hanevn't read it in well over a year, it's rare that I look at advertising in these magazines unless I am looking for something, might be a good survey question, how many read ad's in magazines, if you do how many buy from them....

For my lawn service I've been using google adwords and it's been working very well. I do read Turf when it comes each month, though if I were advertising a product there, I'd worry about getting lost in the static of the rest of the ads.

Also, it's put out once a month and in general you won't get the constant viewership you may get with other advertising forms.

Feel free to experiment though and let us know what you think.

It's basically a few pages with 99% advertisements and an article or two. I can't recall actually getting all the way through one of the articles but it is nice to see some of the new equipment that is coming out. It is free. It's surely worth at least what you pay for it.

I agree, IMHO for the most part very little to read.
