While most of you are working with/in snow this is what I got to play and do with earlier this week.

Lawn care business tips
I was half expecting to see rattle snakes and scorpions....

Sweet weather down there in the winter. I always laughed when it hit 40 degrees and people were basically wearing parkas or boarded up in their homes. When it got near 30 watch out!

lol when it hits 60 65 people start wearing jackets and sweaters around here.

Was surprised didnt have any snakes or scorpions issues. But had to dodge some massive red ants. Never seen them that big before. And saw my fist field mice running away from the tractor. Felt like I was in a little kids movie destroying some mice village.

Ya its called the Phoenix Metro area. Im in Mesa witch is the east side of the valley. Avondale is on the west end. So depending where at Im only an hr away.

As for the rock it dominates the area. Its either all rock or rock plus a small-mid size patch of grass. I have a client with a 1/2 acre lot and less than 1200 sq ft of grass. You just show up once a month for those type of clients trim a few bushes, pull(spray) weeds, rake the rocks(ocationally), blow off the walk ways and ur good to go.

In the older parts of any of the cities around here grass covers most of the yard. And some do irrigation as well.

As for what I doing, I was turning the soil to break down the weeds. This was a very small unit to do it with and the soil was compacted so it took longer then it should have and didnt turn out as well as it could have. Its my uncles lot he was just trying to make the HOA happy.

MountainView : I might be able to get you some serious work or you can use me as a referral. My uncle is President of Allied waste down there and they have multiple offices. My other uncle is pretty big down there as well. They live in the scottsdale area. Although his house is astroturf, don't know about his businesses. Anyway his name is Don Slager and my other uncle is Dave Slager. If you want to use me as a referral, my name is Chris Lanpher. Let me know.

I don't. All I know is my uncle started from the bottom of the company and moved up to the top. Yeah they are huge.
