I'd think that would be a great way to resolve that issue. Try it out and see how it works. I am looking forwards to your updates.

I use an old email address of mine that I have used for years to sign up for stuff, etc... I have been using it in my craigslist add. I click on there where it says not to show my email address, but they can still click on that link and it emails it to me. If it is something that is legit then I copy and paste it into my REAL work email and respond. Kind of a bit of a pain, but still better then getting all that spam into my work account. By the way, I have to constantly check my spam folder on that other email account because if a customer responds to my craigslist add it sends it to there.

Just so I'm clear, do you show/list that "old email address" in your ad, or do they just click the "contact link" (been a while - I forget how it works exactly) so that Craigslist simply forwards their email to you without them ever seeing your email address?


I'd prefer to use my "real" email, as it starts with my business name, but like I said, SO much spam from Craigslist, I hesitate to have anything to do with them and my bus. email.

They just click on the "contact link" and it doesn't show my email address. I have my website on the add so if they need to contact through email they can get it from site.

I've tried craigslist on several occasions n i'm yet to have any good results from it. What could i be doing wrong ? I started my lawn business late into the season last year n only picked up 7 customers. What can i say for as advertisement to get more customers off craigslist ?

Focus on getting the customers you have now to get referals from them. Advertise to the neighbors of your customers as well.
