Craigslist Pointers!

So, i do a lot of business ads on Craigslist.org. I use it ALOT, during the spring i had an increase in business by 80% thanks to CL. I would like to extend another pointer to you. I dont know HTML but, i do know how to use COPY and PASTE (really well!). www.use.com is a great site. You can upload a picture (logo if you want) and put all of the information on the template that you would like. You can then copy and paste the provided HTML code. Paste it directly to your ad you want to post and it will show it all. If you have anything to add to posting on Craigslist, use this post! Matt

Very interesting! Which kinds of ads on craigslist tend to work best? Ads that focus on low prices, or maybe that have some sort of coupon? Or maybe even just a general ad that promotes lawn care services? Do you have any ad designs that you have used in the past that you can show us and maybe tell us what you liked or didn't like about them?

When doing ads with html code in craigslist, I am not sure that it would be searchable in results or is it? Do you have to also have a paragraph filled with specific keywords along with the code? I do know that making pictures clickable is a big no no. If you are hosting pics any where on the internet its very simple to post one in an ad. Use the following html code :

< img src="Place the url of your picture between these two quotation marks">

(you will need to remove the space just before img for it to work....

How to make it searchable. At the end of your post after you add the HTML Code, add a "Keyword" section, and put stuff in it like - "Quality, landscaping, land, scaping, lawn maintenance, edging, weed-eating, clean-up, pressure washing, lawn care, zero turn, ZT, wright stander, hustler, dixie chopper" You could do that... ill even make the list and post for you to copy and paste.

I noticed in your craigslist ad, you had a whole bunch of keywords.

Keywords: Lawn care, cutting, trimming, mulching, weedeating, mowing, fertilizing, compost, green, pasture, debris, organizing, removal, tree, grass, plants, flowers, lawn, quality, landscaping, land, scaping, lawn maintenance, edging, weed-eating, clean-up, garage, cleanup

Did that site create them for you or did you ad them after wards?

How important is it to use a bunch of keywords like that in your ad?
