Default Promotional Product Sites

There seems to be so many of these kinds of sites. With a trade show coming to my area in March 2011, I want to be able to have some promotional products available for give aways but am unsure as to what would be good products that would be cost effective for us. I want to be able to brand what ever it is we go with so I am looking for some guidance as to sites that maybe you have dealt with before that are reasonable in pricing.

So I am looking for:
  • Links to Promotional Sites
  • Idea's on what type of products would be good to use at a trade show as give aways
  • and some ideas on how the booth should be put together
  • Theme of the booth would be landscaping/Lawn Care
  • Should we have a contest drawing of some kind (Winner gets a season of free whatever)

Any other idea's for the booth would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone for your input and idea's!

Jymie

Dropship design is a good source for products. I had a website through them for 5 years and I would not recommend getting the website. I never had a single sale from it. But I made sales on ebay and other sites and getting the products from them was easy. Now if you were going to sell electronics and computer items and such, they get them from D&H Distributing out of Harrisburg PA. so a membership with them would be better for those items.

Jymie,

What about keeping it simple. Having balloons and a helium tank. Hand them out to kids? Would that work?

Also, what about getting there early and parking your truck in the front spot with some business card distributors on it? That is what one of our members did in the past and he got a lot of business from it.

How about making a calendar that includes pictures of your local area? Maybe it could be small with a magnet on it to use on a fridge? Or larger where people could write on it?

Out of all that, what really ties in best though with local home care shows?

I think it was last year, Justin had a put put golf set up where if you got a hole in one, you won some sort of prize.

I think that attracted the kids, which then attracted the parents.

Some good ideas. I plan to have on hand in the booth alot of literature for each service we provide. I would like to come up with some way to be able to collect information from potential customers, maybe a giveaway or something like that. Once I have the contact information, I can send them stuff. Any thoughts on how to go able collecting that info?

You could offer a drawing for a free week of lawn care or a month free of lawn care service? and on the forms that they fill out have questions that they can mark the box, such as what services would you be interested in? then list a ton of different services, and when you call back say something like hey we did our drawing sorry you didnt win but i noticed on here that you may be interested in some sprinkler repair or what ever they put down, or as you call say sorry you didnt win but we had such a good turn out im offering a week or a month of free lawn care service with a years contract? just some ideas..

Yea those are great ideas!

Having some kind of offer that makes it worthwhile to sign up is important. I am leaning more to the free month for the giveaway.

Then having some offer to call the rest of the people that fill out your form, like a free week or two if they sign up for an annual contract.

That is fantastic!

Jymie is this getting your creative juices flowing? Have these ideas sparked any further thoughts?

the free month is a good hook.

give it to everyone who drops their contact info.

give it up front with no strings. some might take it and cancel but I would think most would keep you on.

people love winning **** and it would be a definite lever to get them to try your service even if they are currently being serviced by another provider.

you can even write off the free month on taxes as long as you document it correctly.

have some "Free Month" Coupons printed up and get the homeowner to put their info on it and keep that for tax records when you claim it.
