Have you ever run into problems where a potential customer doesn't use your company because you weren't the lowest bid, only later to have them call you to help fix a mess they got themselves into?
The landscaper blues - With a newly built home in Homer Glen surrounded by a yard of mud, Scott Sinclair and his wife, Pauline, wanted to hire a landscaper to whip it into shape.
"We had no idea who to go with, how to find a landscaper or decide what was a good price," Sinclair said. They came across a flier for Saunoris Landscaping early last year.
The couple wanted a patio and to have their lawn seeded and trees and shrubs planted, and the $11,000 bid from Luther "Luke" Saunoris, owner of the New Lenox landscaping company, was the lowest they got.
What they got in return was a small, half-finished patio and lots of excuses from Saunoris about why he didn't complete the work. Scott ended up having to seed the lawn himself.
