Default The best way to get new customers FAST as

Do more door to door advertising . This is what I was thinking what if I could pay $50 for every person to sign up . Listen to what I did I put out a posting on craigslist looking for canvassers and wrote that they earn $50 for every person to sign up to my services. So then after I got a person to do it and thought about it I realized that I could have 10 people going door to door for me and it would not matter beacause I did not pay hourly so . I basicky had my own army all from craigslist . AND did it work sure it did . I got 5 néw accounts in just a couple days . It's great I keep looking for more people to go door to door. Imagine 25 people going door to door for you . Walking around for free. And I only pay them when a coustomer signs up for my services .... That's right a whole years worth of lawn care . And the best part is by the track I'm on I'll cover my whole city within a month.

Lawn care business tips
Oh Ok I saw you posted this in another post too.

Can you tell us a little about this?

Did you get those 5 customers just from one person canvassing the area?

What do you train them to say?

Also at what point do you pay them?

Default I tell them

I have them Made a uniform , a jacket with our name and a hat as well and then they go house to house talking about our services and lawn care and nit only that but I have a special that if they sign up we give them a free pressure washing worth up to $100 and you might be surprised how well it works . The five customers was from me and another person but now I have aroun five people . So I basically don't have to anything . And I can always get more.

That is genius!

What is included in the power washing? Is that a house or a driveway or what?

Default The power washing gets even better

I do Just the driveway for free the the people see and they want everything done ... Side walks steps backyard patio .. So they have to pay . An I found that I can charge higher and they will still want to have me do it . So it works great . It work because no other lawn care comapany dies that so I get so much more business .

This is absolutely genius!! Do you have a copy of the craigslist add that you put out for people? Do you screen them or do you just let anyone go out there and promote your business? Also how do you set prices? Do you teach them what you would bid for a job?

Just thought I would throw those questions out there because I'm sure many people will like your wonderful Idea.

Default Ya sure

I write a craigslist ad saying that I am looking for some to go canvassing and since I'm in a huge city .. Chicago I get tons of people and then I have then send me a picture of themselves . I look for people that look smart and clean cut . Then after I get a few people I train them to write down all the house that they talked to and requested estimates then they would call me and I would give them a qoute I guess I could have them do the estamites but I would also want to meet the customer. On my ad I write I'm looking for canvassers for Arlington hts . And if they call me great

I have done this, during last fall.

It's nice, though in reality these people may make your business look bad if they aren't instructed properly or are lousy on giving a pitch.

You want them to represent your business and be able to answer any question(s). Unfortunately, they cannot - you will always forget to inform them about a certain detail.

It's less walking for you, though you spend a lot of time training and worrying about these fools ruining your image.

Sure, they aren't going to throw out flyers as they are paid per job you get - though they could end up LYING to potential customers in order to attract them.

I had a guy tell a customer we'll lower a price... Didn't help the business at all.

You must be hands on at all times, trust is not something we should count on to grow our business.

Just my opinion. There are loopholes everywhere, and it's human nature to find them.

Default Ya I understand what you mean

That is why I have a BACKGROUND cheek done so I can see their history and so far I haven't had any problems since another thing I do is have them call me whenever anyone needs a estimate . So I can not lose ... That is how I run my business .
